Timberlake is a subdivision in Chapin, SC located along the shores of Lake Murray. It is just minutes from Irmo, SC about 25 minutes from downtown Columbia, South Carolina’s capital city.

The subdivision was founded in March of 1987 and currently has 321 home sites. There are many smaller neighborhoods within the subdivision including Club Pointe, Fairway Oaks, Fairway Ridge and Plantation Summit. Typically Timberlake houses have large home fronts. There are both golf course front and lake front homes available.

The beautiful Timberlake Golf Course, which is the only golf course on Lake Murray, meanders throughout the neighborhood. Free docking makes it possible for residents to come by boat to enjoy a game of golf. The subdivision also houses the Timberlake Country Club. Club amenities include a clubhouse with a wrap around deck on the lake, a Junior Olympic pool, tennis courts, and a fitness center.

Timberlake has a very active homeowner’s association that makes getting to neighbors very easy. They offer many different ways to get involved, including garden clubs, book clubs, and fun social events such as “nine and dine” where couples play 9 holes of golf and then enjoy dinner at a restaurant together.
