The neighborhood of Rosewood is one of the most established and stable communities in Columbia, South Carolina. It is located right in the downtown of Columbia and conveniently near highways I-77, I-26 and I-20 in addition to the University of South Carolina, Midlands Technical College, and Fort Jackson.

Rosewood is a charming mix of old and new, with some recently built homes in addition to homes built starting in the 1950’s and 1960’s when construction in the area began. Pecan trees from when the area was a farmland still line many of the streets. This neighborhood is home to the annual Rosewood Crawfish Festival. There is a great live Blues and Jazz music throughout the day, a 5k, arts and crafts vendors, and of course, tons of mouth watering crawfish.

For outdoor activities, Finlay Park, the River walk parks, the Congaree National Park, and the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden are all in close vicinity. Five Points and the Vista are two areas in downtown Columbia which both have great unique shopping, many restaurants, and night-life entertainment.

Residents are districted for the award winning Richland County District 1 schools including Kilbourne Elementary School, Hand Middle School, and Dreher High School.
